There is something about an awkward pairing, a match that is not quite harmonious in tone that gives rise to an ensemble not of obvious construction. Take the pointed velvet shoes for example, singularly they already posses an unusual texture and iridescent sheen of coffee-coloured kind yet pair them with multi-striped trousers of billowing form and such stand-out factor is magnified. You could say that the mink shimmer of the monk shoe is not in coordination with the rest of the outfit but I think it is that aspect which adds a little interest to the attire, after all the cami and roll neck combination is another which evades ordinary practice, even if such is inspired by my fashion favourites of late.

The most prominent and favoured item of this outfit has to be the Zara striped trousers, a victorious sale find if any - the multi-colour stripes it boasts is just one of the many features the dream pants retain. The cropped cut and high-waist tie-up appeal makes for not only a providing match but a perfect fit, there is no wonder then, why Zara has avidly become my go-to shop when in search those items which are striking and dissimilar from offerings elsewhere on the high street. I do adore Zara for its path of fashion diversity when it comes to the (majority) of their designs however, I am forced to include the word majority due to their penchant for seemingly copying many a design from famous designer brands, although arguably, this may be the very reason that Zara's apparel is more forward than most fashion retailers. Whether this is a form of copying or merely inspiration? Well, that renders to personal opinion.
